For this project, I choose a city to depict over time. I acquired old maps from various years to demonstrate the change as the city was urbanized. I built each map and composed associated posters noting important landmarks and a description of important changes. The color scheme was chosen based on various elements of Kyoto and its culture, such as the matcha green, a traditional Japanese tea, the pink of the cherry blossom trees that bloom across the city, and the red dot incorporated in the labels and the title to signify the flag of Japan.
